​Coalfields Baptist Church is a new church being established in the town of Collie, Western Australia.

Joshua Denford grew up in a Christian home where both his parents faithfully attended church. In August 1993, under the ministry of Pastor Eric Thrush in Mount Helena Bible Baptist Church, a 9 year old Josh called upon the Lord Jesus to save him. His mother testifies that after the service, the conviction of the Holy Spirt was so strong that when she placed her hand on his back, she could feel his heart beating. That night, in the quiet of his own home, his father had the privilege to lead him to the Lord.
Meanwhile, his wife Lisa was living across the world in Ireland. Lisa had been searching for God for many years and, at the age of 26, she made the decision to repent and call on Jesus to save her during an outreach ministry. After reading 1 Corinthians 15 and studying its historical accuracy, she was convinced that the Bible account of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus was true and realised her need of a Saviour.
A few months later, the Lord led Lisa to move to Australia and in 2014 Josh and Lisa met. After a short courtship and engagement, they were married in 2015 and over the coming years God blessed them with three children; Cadhla, Lilly and Malachi.
